• When did you start Laughter Yoga Singapore?
It was unclear exactly when it started, though it was brought in several years before yet it was unfamiliar to Singapore still.

  • How has the response been like?
Similarly i believe as it was first started in India the response was small and only a few participating organisations like People's Association. Since then in Singapore we have got connected with thousands of people from a board spectrum of industries both international businesses and government sectors. I have personally arranged and conducted for more than 30 organisations and welfare groups with growing support from the health promotion sector in Singapore.

  • What did you do before this?
I was teaching in Nan Chiau High School ICT Development, also Workforce Development Soft Skills Training with WDA and venture in Fitness and Martial Arts Coaching for corporations subsequently, where it rekindle my passion for health promotion and with Laughter Yoga Therapy, i combine my training experience to bring a fresh perspective for Singapore.

  • Do people usually attend just one laughter yoga session? Is that enough or is there a need to go for repeat sessions?

To receive prolonged health benefits including changes in mood and outlook people sign up for a series of 8 to 10 sessions as this is a mental wellness and exercise programme, participants need to understand, accept and fully equip themselves with the resources learn from the trainings and with just the first session, there are differences in the mood that changes quickly and according to Dr. William Fry from Stanford University, 10 minutes of hearty laughter is equal to 30 minutes on the rowing machine.
